    Last updated 4 days ago

If you are new to the Seal Beach area, then it's time for you to explore some of the most exciting spots that this little town has to offer. With help from your Long Beach taxi service, you and your friends can hop from establishment to establishment and get a taste of all of the culture that's cram-packed into this corner of Los Angeles. Here is a brief guide to your bar and restaurant choices in Seal Beach.

Throw Back a Pint at O'Malley's on Main When you’re looking for the perfect place to unwind with a few good friends, keep O'Malley's on Main on your radar. This Irish pub is a favorite hangout for locals who enjoy its friendly atmosphere and its wide selection of international and domestic beers. If you and your pals want to grab a bite to eat while out, then order O'Malley's famed chicken wings or treat yourselves to the daily special.

Catch a Game at Dave's Other Place If you were to ask your Long Beach taxi driver for his or her recommendation for the best place in Seal Beach to catch a major sporting event, you would be likely to get “Dave's Other Place” as a response. This quirky dive bar is a staple in the city and can often be seen packed full of sports fans cheering on their favorite team or groups of friends sipping on a cold brew and playing a game of billiards.

Sip on Margaritas at Taco Surf With summer right around the corner, few things sound better to Long Beach area residents than an ice-cold margarita and an evening spent with good company. You can experience both at Taco Surf, Seal Beach's prime location for delicious Mexican food and signature cocktails.

    Last updated 18 days ago

Whether you're the proud owner of a beach cruiser or you prefer exploring LA on your fixed gear bike, it will soon be time for you to grab your set of wheels and head over to the Bike Fest of Long Beach. This festival is a celebration of the cycling culture here in Long Beach and the friendliness of those in cars, taxi cabs, and buses who carefully share the road with cyclists every day. Here is a closer look at this one-day celebration of bike culture.

Vintage Bike Exhibit and Contest Many of today's cruiser bikes are reproductions of some of the classic bikes produced in the 1930s, ’40s, and ’50s. Bike enthusiasts around Long Beach have purchased some of the originals and restored them to pristine condition. You can check these bikes out at the festival's own vintage bike exhibit. Participants will be able to enter their bikes in a contest as well, for a small fee of five dollars.

On-Site Beer Garden If cruising through downtown Long Beach leaves you feeling thirsty, then head over to the Beachwood & Friends Craft Beer Garden at The Pike at Rainbow Harbor. More than one dozen breweries in addition to Beachwood & Friends will be represented in the garden, offering you and your friends delicious varieties of local craft beer. A souvenir glass and 10 tastings costs 20 dollars.

Delicious Food and Entertainment If not everyone in your crowd is 21 or older, don't fret. The Bike Fest of Long Beach is an all-ages event, with fun activities for the whole family. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the delicious food stands set up by vendors from all around Los Angeles as well as the live entertainment from the area's hottest swing bands.

Be sure to mark your calendar for May 1st and get in on all of the fun that awaits at the Bike Fest of Long Beach. If you don't feel like cycling into town or don't have a bicycle, then leave the transportation up to the professionals here at Long Beach Yellow Cab.
